AkzoNobel’s Color of the Year 2025 reveal is almost here
Anticipation is building. In less than one week, AkzoNobel will reveal its Color of the Year for 2025, setting the tone for the next 12 months of color in design. This annual announcement is more than just a color - it’s a reflection of global trends, a guide for the creative industries, and a source of global design inspiration.
For over 30 years, AkzoNobel has been at the forefront of color innovation, translating global trends into the hues that define our spaces and products. But this year marks a special milestone for the ColorSurfaces team - the 20th edition of our ColorSurfaces Trend Collection. With each edition, the ColorSurfaces team distills the insights from leading design professionals into coating palettes that inspire and elevate the automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics industries.

From the sleek surfaces of the latest consumer electronics, samples available in October 2024, to the cutting-edge finishes of luxury cars and aircraft, samples available in January 2025 and May 2025, respectively, this collection pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with coatings, showcasing the latest colors, haptics and effects.
